    Dear Coast to Coast members,

Over and over we have heard your requests to please have a Panama Canal cruise. Most canal cruises would just not work for our members. We wanted to have a cruise to the Panama Canal that was NOT a one way cruise between the east coast and west coast of the United States. What we wanted for our members was a cruise that was roundtrip from a particular city, no more than 10 days, experienced the locks in the canal, and most of all was a reasonable price.

This cruise aboard the Island Princess is exactly what we were looking for, so we invite you to join other Coast to Coast members as they sail to some of the world’s most exotic ports while still being able to experience “The Path Between The Seas”….the Panama Canal.

Your ports of call include Cartagena, Colombia, Colón the second largest city in Panama, Limon Costa Rica, and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Each of these ports has their own unique personality. You will be able to explore colonial South America in Cartagena; experience one of the most beautiful locations in the world (Costa Rica); shop in the world’s largest Free Trade Zone outside of Hong Kong (Colón); or in Jamaica take an optional shore excursion to Ocho Rios to visit the falls that cascade down 600 feet of rocky staircase into the Caribbean Sea, and make the climb up the slippery waterfall. Each port has its own character and charm.

The highlight of your cruise of course will be when you enter the Panama Canal. Without question, the best way to experience every mile of this magnificent wonder is from the deck of a transiting ship. From this privileged vantage point you will have an incomparable perspective while passing through the canal's locks. In the center of the canal there is a body of water: Gatun Lake. Here the Island Princess will actually make a U-turn enabling her to exit the canal on the Caribbean side, thus enabling you to return to the same port you began your voyage.

In addition to all of the exciting ports you will have four wonderful days at sea where you will be able to enjoy so many onboard activities. Spend the day relaxing by the pool, take some of Princess’ onboard classes (such as ceramics, photography or cooking), try your luck out in their wonderful casino or at Bingo, attend an Art Auction, visit their world class onboard Spa, or even go duty free shopping in their many boutiques. These days will be some of the most fun days you will experience. Do know that some of these activities have an extra charge, but there are several that won’t cost any additional money.

If you have not read it, I highly recommend The Path Between the Seas written by David McCullough. It will give you great insight in what it took to build this magnificent canal. As a reminder, space is very limited, don’t wait! Make your reservations now.

I’m sure you will enjoy this special cruise,
