Tips For Getting The Best Cruise Value |
| |
| 1.) Stay in touch - with
us. Last winter, the media reported that the booking curve for cruises was
beginning to extend and that consumers were planning and depositing for
their cruises long in advance. The media was accurate, but the reporting
created confusion. People assumed, for example, that Europe was sold out,
even back at the beginning of winter. Not so. Never assume that a cruise
is sold out or that you can't get decent pricing because of high demand.
Ask us. We'll do the heavy work to find out what's available and at what
price. |
| |
| 2.) Book early. Booking early
assures you will get the cabin you want, the dining time you desire and
your first choice of sailing date. Booking far in advance is particularly
important for families. Family suites and adjoining cabins typically sell
out first, so it's best to start planning this year for next year's vacation. |
| |
| 3.) Cruise with a group. Group
sailings generally provide the best values, because of special considerations
for groups. It's likely that you already belong to at least one group -
your family, for example. Extended family cruises are one of the cruises
industry's fastest growing segments - for good reason. No vacation is more
enjoyable for families than a cruise vacation. |
| |
| 4.) Cruise when the others can't.
You'll typically find better rates if you book your cruise at the bookends
of the season, such as spring and fall for alaska and Europe. |
| |
| 5.) Book a suite, mini-suite or balcony
stateroom. These categories offer the absolute best values in cruising
today. Of course, that wasn't always the case. Premium category staterooms
were once for the rich and famous. But cruise lines have done a great job
in designing ships with premium staterooms available at affordable prices.
Call us and compare list prices for all categories, and you'll see that
oceanview and balcony staterooms often represent our best values. |
| |
| 6.) Pay less for luxury.
Luxury cruise operators command higher per diems than mass market and premium
lines, but many luxury operators offer value-added packages: free roundtrip
air, hotel stays, category upgrades and more. But you do have to book early
to receive these perks. Check with us for value-added incentives for luxury
cruises. |
| |
| 7.) Cruise Europe. Land vacationers
are returning from Europe this summer suffering from sticker shock. The
value of the Euro (the common currency for most of Europe) against the dollar
tipped the scales against U.S. travelers. American cruise vacationers in
Europe, however, were insulated from sticker shock, because they paid for
the bulk of their food, drinks and services in U.S. dollars. |
| |
| 8.) Pick your destinations. Let
us know where you want to go. When a great deal to the destination of of
your choice comes up, we'll let you know about it! We can keep you informed
about special offers to destinations all around the globe. |
