Fall 2007 - The Avid Cruiser
Coming next June, Holland America Line's newest ship will set sail with a number of innovations, including "As You Wish Dining," which is currently being implemented fleetwide. Also, markedly different for Holland America Line are Eurodam's new stateroom decor, new dining venues and a new style of panoramic stateroom.
The 2,044-passenger Eurodam begins sailing in July on a series of 10-day Baltic cruises from Copenhagen, then sets sail on an incredible 25-day "Viking Worlds" cruise from Copenhagen to New York in August. After crossing the Atlantic, Eurodam will offer 10-day cruises between the Big Apple and Quebec City, a series of cruises that ends with a 14-day repositioning cruise from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale, where Holland America Line's newest ship will offer Caribbean cruises through the winter.
A new class of ship for Holland America Line, Eurodam will feature simple, yet elegant, stateroom design, influenced by the Pacific Northwest. Seattle-based Holland America Line, in fact, chose a Seattle-based company to provide a fresh look to Eurodam. Also, for the first time on a Holland America Line ship, staterooms will be added to the top decks. Deck 11, just off the Crow's Nest, will feature 10 veranda staterooms, and just below, on Deck 10, will be 28 staterooms with verandas and four, forward-facing "panorama" rooms.
Eurodam will also feature a new pan-Asian restaurant on Deck 10. Also new: As You Wish dining, which allows guests to dine in the main dining room on a flexible dining schedule from 5:15 p.m. until 9 p.m. daily in addition to the traditional, two-seating dining in the main dining room.
